Don Bosco Navajeevan Bala Bhavan, Vijayawada, 26 August 2019: A free medical camp was organized by Don Bosco Navajeevan Bala Bhavan (DBNJBB), for the migrants in Rama Rajyam Peta near the Milk Project, Vijayawada. DBNJBB felt the need to conduct the camp after seeing the meagre condition, and the gutters around in which they lived. The objectives of the free medical camp were to provide free and high-quality medical services for poor population, to work as an emergency team in disasters, to raise health awareness among the community and teach them to deal with verbal and non-verbal communicable skills, and to register rare and severe cases and refer them to specialized health centres.

One of the patients, who benefitted from the camp, told that were not able to touch the threshold of posh hospitals due to their poverty-stricken conditions, and the social status. The slum dwellers were happy to see Don Bosco Navajeevan reaching out to them in their desperate circumstances.
