Don Bosco, Nava Nirman, Muniguda, 31 January 2020: The community of Don Bosco Nava Nirman, were exceedingly happy to celebrate and honor the Friend of Youth, St John Bosco. The feast day celebrations started with words of welcome by Fr.P.Arul Das, Director. Fr Abraham, the Rector of Shanti Bhavan Seminary, Rayagada presided over the Eucharist and bestowed on the faithful gathered God’s blessings, sought through the intercession of St John Bosco. The famous three devotions of Don Bosco: Devotion to most Holy Eucharist, Devotion to Mary and Devotion to Pope, were elucidated during the sermon and that were simplified. h Don Bosco Nava Nirman and cherish the togetherness of the Church.
Thereafter, there was a cultural programme in honor of St John Bosco. The children gave their best to honour and celebrate the friend of youth in the best way possible. The guests, parents and well-wishers were taken by surprise to see the children rocking on the stage with their dance and for the melodious voices that sang praises to the friend of youth.
The celebrations concluded with a sumptuous meal served to all the teaching and non-teaching staff. In the evening, the community had a short informal gathering where the aspirants performed a skit on ‘Angels on Holiday’, and it was appreciated. Besides, the entertaining programme, everyone was graced to kiss the relic of St John Bosco in order to incorporate in the deep-loving desire to be in the presence of God, be it word, deed or thought.
