Don Bosco Navajeeavan, Chiguru, 24-25 February 2020: The second meeting of the
Volunteers was organized in Don Bosco Chiguru Children Village on 24th February, Vijayawada. Ten Volunteers took part in this meeting. Rev. Fr Thomas Santiagu sdb, Vice Provincial animated the session on Psychology of Children and teenagers and observed proper and varied responses of volunteers. He had gone deeper in this subject in giving them concrete examples. Afternoon session was animated by Rev. Fr Sarath sdb, the Vocation Promoter on the theme ‘Salesians in the world and in specific manner Salesians in India and their mission for the young and needy, in the way of Don Bosco’. In the evening hours, there was a sharing of the situation of the work areas and learning process of each volunteer. Later, Fr Santiagau and Fr Sarath celebrated Thanksgiving Eucharist in German and prayed for all the Don Bosco Missions in the world.
On 25th February, the volunteers visited Don Bosco Navajeevan Centers like Shelter and Bala Bhavan where they were exposed to Don Bosco´s work for the young at Risk in the province. In the afternoon, the volunteers visited Kondapalli Fort and later watched a vernacular movie to pick up the Telugu language.
